Agriculture

Agriculture is an important part of the Saskatchewan economy and has played an important role in the development of the province. Agricultural activity releases greenhouse gases through a number of processes. Appropriate fram management practices can reduce the level of emissions while enhancing the carbon content of soils. Agriculture is vulnerable to a changing climate where this affects growing temperatures or the amount of moisture available for crops.
