Many businesses and industries are likely to be affected by climate change issues. Key concerns include: rising energy costs, changing technology, potential regulation of greenhouse gas emissions and international competitiveness. There may also be opportunities to develop new product, market new services and create new technologies. Associations representing the interests of Saskatchewan businesses and industries are participating in climate change policy processes in the province and with national associations. There are a number of Saskatchewan businesses who have registered through the Canadian GHG Challenge Registry, a non-profit partnership between Industry and Governments across Canada to publicly record their Action Plans and Progress Reports that from the basis for planned greenhouse gas emissions reduction activities.
