Saskatchewan Industry Success Stories

The recently announced ‘Saskatchewan Energy and Climate Change Plan’ sets aggressive targets to cut the province's greenhouse gas emissions by 32 per cent below 2004 levels by 2020 and 80 per cent below 2004 levels by 2050. Meeting these ambitious targets will be no easy task and can only be accomplished with strong leadership and cooperation throughout our society.

In 2006 Climate Change Saskatchewan took a look at what individuals around the province were doing to help mitigate and adapt to the effects of Climate Change in Saskatchewan through a series of ‘Made in Saskatchewan’ climate change success stories. The stories we found were diverse, inspiring, and expressive of the ingenuitive spirit that is alive and well through out this province.

Over the coming months Climate Change Saskatchewan will take a look at how Saskatchewan businesses and industries are working together with the government and people of this province to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop practices and technologies that will help mitigate the impact of Climate Change both here in Saskatchewan and around the globe.
