Co-generation |
|||
|
Simply put, co-generation is the combined production of heat and electricity. Co-generation is a cost-effective method to produce electricity from production processes' waste heat. The waste heat is usually forced through a steam turbine to produce electricity. In most instances the electricity is used to run the production plant, but in some cases the electricity produced is placed into the electrical power grid. Resources Saskatchewan ATCO's website.
