Youth from all over Saskatchewan submitted entries to the Energy and the Environment Art Contest. The theme of the contest is to illustrate energy conservation and efficiency. The winning Saskatchewan artwork and a number of honourable mention entries have been posted to share with you.
The annual Energy and the Environment Art Contest has been held since 1991. The Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) at Natural Resources Canada coordinates the contest that is targeted to students from kindergarten to grade eight in teacher run contests. In past years, the OEE has produced a calendar. Beginning in 2008, the OEE will produce a poster, featuring winning artwork from each province and territory across Canada, and a teachers' resource manual.
